Uniforms

The Good Will Fire Company uniform back in 1905 consisted of white duck pants, white shirts, white caps and black belts.  Badges for all members were ordered.  However, later in the summer, because the company could not obtain this color of uniform, the company changed to black overalls, black shirts, straw hats and red bandanna handkerchiefs.  This idea was also abandoned and in May of 1906, navy blue uniforms with caps were purchased for $12.80.  Each member would pay a $5.00 fee for his or her uniform which would be reimbursed when he or she turned in the uniform when leaving the company. In August of 2007 a horrible tragedy hit the fire company. Three members were murdered in their home.  So the fire company purchased uniforms for the services.  They pertained to black pants with a yellow stripe down both legs, white shirts, black tie, black hats and white hats for the Officers, and black shoes and newly added as of July 1, 2008 is a black jacket with Laceyville Fire patch and yellow stripe down sleeves. White gloves were also recieved on that day. Now the uniforms are used in parades or any event that may occur.
